Windows domain admin and um got some uh history in his background where he is a technology guy so we're really fortunate in Augusta where we have you all of this cyber stuff happening right cyber stuff happening in Augusta Georgia that we' got a mayor who's going to be leaving on the city who's who understands the technology and has worked in the field so with that I'd like toome welcome May Hardy [Applause] Davis thanks Mark um you Mark was very gracious uh he didn't tell a whole lot which is probably a good thing but I want to take an opportunity to welcome you uh let me suggest to you that your time has come uh we have gone from being

Network administrators to protecting data to securing Nations that's an awesome responsibility so I'll say it again it's like a campaign speech Your Time Has Come you've gone from protecting us from identity theft to making sure the corporations data uh is protected from denial of service attacks interestedly enough a website that I'm a part of just a couple days ago experienced a Ral service where multiple major campaign website were brought to their knees because some of them do their job but these are things that you guys are all and ladies are all very familiar with in the space that you work in how many of you still carry blackberries around oh my lord well I still do president does

I but better than that many of you probably know that DOD just signed the contract with Rim some months back for black bears that they can even take down range but as I welcome you this morning uh your role not just in your communities not just in uh defense not just in the department of energy but quite frankly in the public and private sector Your Role is not only becoming important today but will become increasingly important as we take the fight as my good friend General Patterson says take the fight down range but we do it in the digital space in the digital domain and so I applaud you for your efforts I'm excited that Mark

reached out to me uh we have a great deal of History together uh I'm so proud of and the work that he's doing uh in this community and certainly board I will tell you and I'll throw out the challenge that in 2015 uh as I assumed the role of Mayor of Augusta Georgia uh let's make this BR let's take the resources that we have available to us I know that was an event on last week that they had downtown at the marot what an amazing time in Augusta Georgia and the surrounding region uh to have technology professionals such as yourselves Augusta's role from a technology standpoint continues to increase across the Southeastern us and as the next
