tel-aviv ever we had a training day yesterday with two amazing trainers or active amazing trainers yes we have more registered people than ever in fact there's a ton of people waiting to join us here inside they're all standing outside what else this 2019 Edition is going to be special but before that I want to tell you how it all started as I mentioned I'm killin elizallen you can find me online as Tara Nikkei three are three and three that's my nickname 10 years ago a few hackers who couldn't fail couldn't find their voice in their place in the mainstream security conferences decided to start something of their own an alternative community-focused hacker event for the

community by the community and that's when b-sides was born the first security besides event took place in Las Vegas exactly ten years ago today there are b-sides events all over the world and the green ones are new ones the blue woman's are repeating once the question marks well we don't know what's going on there maybe you should start the b-sides over there all over the world there are hundreds of security besides events and our very own we're very proud of it we started in 2016 actually this year is our fourth year last year this room was full and packed with people and this year what can you expect you can expect amazing stuff for example we have

1,500 people who have registered we have 16 awesome speakers we have an amazing hiring ground for the first time we have a dedicated area where you can meet our sponsors who want to hire you and that's not all actually our hiring ground we are also running this really really cool job fair where are they ok here we are so we have these white and purple white and purple bracelets if you are looking for a job get a purple bracelet you can get it in the registration or a hiring ground if you are looking to hire people get one of these white bracelets you can get them at the registration or at a higher ground we will also have CV

workshops and LinkedIn workshops at the hiring ground as well what else we have 30 amazing volunteers that help us make this event happen yes we have the best CTF in the galaxy this year boss level was unlocked with our CTF and you will hear CTF winners announcement and a talk by one of the leading CTF teams in Israel later on this afternoon we have an awesome after-party which I hope you will join us starting from 8 p.m. right across the street inside the University campus at the must and Mayo Harlow food hall or cafeteria but it's gonna be awesome and these are some of our trainers yesterday we had our training day for the first time with people from Tel

space and Maggie from Intel I heard that people really enjoy the trainings if you want to participate in more training days let us know and next year we will bring more training content for our besides audience and we have amazing volunteers we already thanked them but we couldn't do this without them what else I gotta tell you well this is actually the core team this is the team that has been working since last year to bring this today thank you look without all of LG wearing turtle shirt and you will see them later on today on this very stage we want to remind you for my very first piece I'd still Aviv we focused on the

fact that with great power comes great responsibility and this year that is more true than ever before what do we mean by that we focus here at V sides on principles of ethical hacking of responsible disclosure we believe that the knowledge and ideas that we are going to share and learn today are very powerful and could actually lead into the wrong path if they are done with the wrong or the malicious motivations so what we really want to focus this year and today is on learning the skills we need so that we can help organizations and help people not for any malicious intent and once you start on that dark path it's very hard to get back into the right side so
